There are many ways to serve in God’s House. Here’s a snapshot of some of the departments you can join. Contact your local branch to find out more.
The Admin team is responsible for managing the operations of the Church. The team takes care of office management, maintaining church records and managing registration and events. Events include baptism, baby naming, baby dedication, leader meetings and general registration.
The design team works to promote our church. The team creates a variety of materials from posters to logos, t-shirt designs and social media filters.
The drama team ministers the Gospel through acting. All plays and skits are inspired by Pastor David’s teachings. The purpose is to draw the congregation closer to God, by acting out the Word of God using real-life illustrations.
The hospitality team serves visitors, pastors and church members at various times with a high level of customer service. We are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we serve and attend to is blessed by our care.
The host team gives all guests the Kharis welcome experience. This includes greeting people on their way into church services as well as attending to visitors in a special reception after service.
The production team makes it possible to share the church’s messages with the world through video and recordings. There are opportunities to serve by operating a camera or joining the visual team to project the scriptures.
The music ministry uses music as an act of service to God. The department includes instrumentalists, song selectors, administrators, sound liaison, wedding liaison, uniform co-ordinators and more.
The department aims to encourage the growth of believers in the Christian faith. The department organises classes where the Word of God is studied.
This team preaches the Word of God to people on the streets to win souls for the kingdom. We also ensure their establishment by following up on them and encouraging them to attend church and partake in New Believers classes.
The sanctuary-keeping team is committed to ensuring the church is clean and orderly at all times.
The team is responsible for setting up and taking down the equipment required to support church services.
The team is responsible for maintaining the presence of the church on social media platforms. Develop creative and engaging social media strategies, manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels and adapting content to suit different channels.
The sound team works to provide quality audio for all Kharis services and events. This also includes meetings, choir rehearsals, weddings and Jesus campaign outreach.
The uniform team works with all departments that wear uniform to design, sew and style clothing in line with the Kharis church vision. Roles within the department include head stylist, assistant stylist, accessories stylist and seamstress.
Ushers are ministers of hospitality and care in the church. They are responsible for welcoming guests with a warm smile and handshake, directing people to their seats and providing assistance during the service.
The welfare department provides support to members who are in need. This could mean visiting people at home to give them a word of encouragement, counselling or mentoring.
